Do you have any prompts about a superhero fighting a supervillain, but as the fighting goes on, the villain seems… less of a villain and is making some very good points in their monologue?
Hero + Villain Dialogue
The villain makes good points
- “They lied to you, Hero. And I may be a villain, but I tell you the harsh truth.”
- “You should know what exactly it is that you’re fighting for.”
- “The world is not as black and white as you would like it to be, Hero.”
- “You’re not that righteous. You’re not fighting the good fight. No matter what they tell you.”
- “Is this really the hill you want to die on, Hero? Because I’m willing to do it for my cause.”
- “You’re unsure, Hero. I can see it.”
- “You should never be unsure about what you go to war for.”
- “I can see in your eyes that you know exactly what I am talking about.”
- “How can you fight for something that you don’t believe in?”
- “People are going to die, no matter what. But their death should not be pointless. It should be for the right cause.”
- “You’re their attack dog. You’re only helping them by getting rid of me.”
- “Even if you win, this will not be over. Someone else will take my place. Because someone needs to fight for this.”

Enemies to Lovers Masterpost
How to write Enemies to lovers?
Figure out what makes the characters enemies, how to write their troubled relationship without them being damaged beyond repair. Then learn how to slowly fix it, to make them ready to be lovers.
Dialogue Prompts
- “Well. well, well. Look who came to their enemy’s door holding presents.” “Oh cut it, I’m here to pick you up for our date.”
- “I’m scared that it could end badly if it doesn’t work out.” “You’re already enemies. How worse could it get?”
- “Why did you save me?” “Just because I’m the bad guy doesn’t mean I’m a bad guy.”
- “I can’t tell them. They would make fun of me! We used to hate each other!” “Used to - that’s the important part.”
- “I can’t really remember what we were fighting about all this time.”
- “That guy is not good for you. Hell, even I would be better for you and I’m your enemy.”
- “No one will believe us when we turn up together.” “You know I love to shock people, so this will be great.”
- “This seems like such a bad decision, but I just can’t help it.”
- “You like me?” “I know, it’s hard to believe, I can’t really believe it myself.”
- “I tried to deny it for so long, but I don’t want to anymore.”
- “You already know the worst about me and I about you. If we can get over our past, we could have a good future.”
Scenario Prompts - Given up their life for each other
- They’ve never been friends – some would even call them enemies – but some things you wouldn’t wish on anyone and seeing Person A so hopeless, Person B knew they had to step in.
- Person B usually quite enjoyed their fights with Person A. But Person A appears to have lost their drive for the last few weeks and Person B needs to investigate and solve the problem to get everything back to normal.
- When they found Person A like this, they knew that they could just walk away and it was one enemy less. But Person B could never be heartless enough to disregard the value of a human life like that.
- Person A would have thought that Person B would love to see them like this. They never would have thought that Person B would come to their aid and give them something to live for.
Scenario Prompts - Falling for the biggest flirt
- Person A is always at their house and being very annoying with their flirty behaviour - and Person B simultaneously doesn’t want to go home and can’t wait for school to finally end.
- They used to have a routine where they would avoid each other or only exchange snarky comments if they had to meet. But suddenly Person A seems eager to change their routine. Now hardly a day goes by without Person B being bombarded by compliments and it’s… weird.
- Person B is sure that Person A knows how much Person B hates their constant flirt attempts and therefore does it even more. Person B definitely knows that it’s just to annoy them.
- Person A has been Person B’s sister’s best friend since Kindergarten and is basically part of the family by now. Them and Person B’s relationship has also been rocky since Kindergarten. It began as jealousy for the sister’s attention, but it turns to awkwardness when they become teenagers.
- Person A is a natural flirt, so there is definitely nothing behind all their sweet smiles and the weird compliments they keep giving Person B.
Special Forms of Enemies to Lovers
Coworkers - Hating each other and then falling in love (x, x)
- Thanks to the pandemic, there are only two people at the same time allowed in the office - and for some reason the two people who can’t be trusted alone with each other always come on the same day
- They may not like each other but their boss will have their heads if they don’t work well together on this project
- The pandemic forces them to communicate via zoom calls and one of them keeps making fun of the stuff you can see in the others background
- 5 times someone refers to them as “work husband/wife” and 1 time they leave out the “work” part
- They worked at different branches and only ever talked on the phone with each other, but now one of them gets transfered
- Not liking each other does not mean they would let the other one embarrass themself in front of their boss
- The company was nice enough to book two beds at the hotel they stay in for a conference - but why are the beds in the same room?
- Person A and Person B share a desk and switch between the office and working from home, so they are never there at the same time. They both get frustrated with how the other one organizes the shared space and tell each other that through notes.
- Person A gets annoyed by the decisions a new co-worker from another department keeps making and they can’t wait to finally meet them and tell them what they think about them. They didn’t expect Person B to look… like this.
- The Employer of the Month is getting a dinner for two paid for and Person A and Person B are fighting each other tooth and nail for it. Then Person C wins and gives them the dinner so they can sort out their feud.
- Person A and Person B argue about everything, but in the end they are the best team to get the job done.
Students - Polar opposites learning to appreciate each other
- Their friends set them up together, but Person A is constantly showing off his money and Person B is really not impressed.
- Person B goes to a frat party with her friends and Person A acts like he owns the place and Person B just wants to have a good time.
- They have to do an assignment together and Person B has a million ideas and wants to start ASAP, but Person A keeps bringing up plans and reasons for not being able to meet and work on it.
- It’s finals week and the normally bubbly and happy Person B can’t keep her cool anymore, because Person A keeps taking loud phone calls in the middle of the library.
- Person A’s parents threaten to cut him off if his grades don’t go up, so he demands tutoring from Person B, because she is one of the best in the class and he realized early that she loves to help other people, so he takes advantage of that.
- always arguing to the point where the drama teacher tells them to be quiet while all the other cast members perform the scenes around them, while they are just standing there staring angrily at each other
- trying to get out of rehearsing together, so in the end they do all the scenes with the other characters perfectly, but are super nervous and awkward in the scenes between each other
- meeting with a group of other cast members to learn their text, but one day they are the only two who show up
- having to work on their costumes together, so that they match and look good together on stage
- their parents are really excited about their play and want a lot of pictures of the “perfect couple” together
- realizing that after spending so much time together, they just flow together naturally and don’t want it to end with the play

How to write modern royalty
Things to figure out
- Political legitimacy (constitutional monarchy, absolute monarchy, semi-constitutional monarch, …)
- Actual power in the state they ‘rule’ over
- History of how the family became royal
- Kind of succession (hereditary reign, elective reign, …)
- Line of succession
- Members of the inner royal family
- Official positions and titles of the members
- Duties of the members
- Rules the members have to follow
- Distant family with unlikely claim to the throne
- Their titles and duties
- Specific ceremonial clothing and jewels
- Specific national traditions that involve the royal family (celebration days?)
- Living arrangements (same palace, somewhere else)
- Palace staff and confidants
- Members that married into the family (commoners or other royals)
- Their roles and duties
- Rules regarding marriage
- Relations to other monarchies
- Relations to other countries (still being the monarch of an independent country because of colonialism)
- Finances (paid by the state, being property owners or work outside of royal duties)
- Reputation of the monarchy amongst their subjects (how secure is the reign?)
- Reputation of the monarchy amongst other countries
Research
- research a real monarchy that fits your fictional one best
- look at different forms of monarchies (there are a lot more than the most researched European ones)
- look at historic monarchies and find out why they ended if you need drama for your story

Hi! I'm trying to write an enemies to lover slowburn, but I don't know how to start it...I have written the middle parts, the jucier parts👀 Can you give me some tips on how to start it? Aso, if you don't mind, do you have any tips on writing enemies to lovers👉👈 Thanks a lot in advance!
Hi :)
Oh, I love me some good enemies to lover trope. But there is some things you have to be careful with, so I start with a little reminder what not to do and then go into what to do and even though you didn’t really ask for it, I thought of some prompts while writing this answer.
How to write enemies to lovers
stay away from non-consensual
- they are enemies and will likely be awful to each other in the beginning
- but if you want them to be a happy couple at the end they shouldn’t be abusive to each other
- because even if they later get together it will always leave a mark on that relationship
- forcing someone to do something is wrong and even if the victim later loves to do it in the relationship, it doesn’t change the fact that they were once forced when they didn’t want to do it
Now that that is established here is how to start with the trope.
Why are they enemies?
- how do they know each other?
- why do they hate each other?
- are they literally at war with each other or are they people who met each other and really didn’t click in the beginning?
- give them reason to hate or at least strongly dislike each other
- you can give them the same reason for hating each other
- or spice it up and make both of them dislike something else about the other person
How can you fix it?
- now that you’ve established why they hate it each other you have to find out what needs to be done to fix it
- it’s important to find a way to make them both see the other person as a normal human being with their own hopes and problems and not just this unshakeable image of an always bad enemy
- maybe they don’t know all the information, maybe it’s a misconception that could be solved by talking
- but don’t just make them say those things
- let actions speak louder than words
- for example character A thinks character B is rude and inconsiderate and only interested in themself - but then A sees B doing something completely selfless
Slowly falling in love
- it wouldn’t be enough to see them being selfless to make them completely change their mind and fall in love
- but it would make them rethink what they thought about the other one and maybe try to get to know them better, because they realized there is so much more to learn and they maybe judged too soon
- a changed behaviour in one character could then trigger the other one into rethinking their bad relationship
- finding something that they have in common or that they like about the other one can pave the way for a neutral relationship that then turns into something more
- so it rarely goes directly from hate to love, especially because this could be an indicator for rash actions and mood swings towards each other that could be harmful in a relationship
- it’s more like hate turning into acceptance and understanding and then slowly to love
Prompts
- “Well.

Betrayal Dialogue Prompts
- “I thought we were friends!”
- “It was all just a sick game to you!”
- “Why would you want to hurt me like this?”
- “They told me not to trust you, but I didn’t listen.”
- “Will you at least tell me why?”
- “I’m sorry, but I had to.”
- “Did you really never see it coming?”
- “I wouldn’t call myself a traitor. I just look out for myself.”
- “You’re so naive, it’s almost adorable.”
- “How could you do this to me?”
- “I must be a great actor if you believed me that easily.”
- “You’re the last person, I would have thought could betray me.”
- “Next time think twice before you trust someone so completely.” “Oh believe me, I will.”
- “I always told you that you’re too naive for this world.”
- “What kind of person could look me straight in the eye and lie to me, just to stab me in the back, the second I let my guard down?”
- “I hope I could teach you a useful life lesson.”
- “You… why did it have to be you?!”
- “I almost hate doing this to you. But not really.”
- “You lied to me! You lied to me over and over and over again!”
- “How could I ever believe another word you tell me?”

Angsty/Fighting Dialogue Prompts
- “Is everything a joke to you?”
- “It’s my fault, I didn’t listen to everyone saying this would be a mistake!”
- “Why does everything have to be a struggle with you?”
- “I can’t believe you sometimes!”
- “Great. Really great, this is just perfect.”
- “Why can’t you just let it go?”
- “That is the dumbest excuse I have ever heard!”
- “Maybe you should just leave now.”
- “Oh yes, you’re so great.”
- “I really don’t understand what’s going on with you sometimes!”
- “I will leave now, or I’m going to say things I will regret later.”
- “Have you never actually thought about how I would feel about this?”
- “Maybe this is it, because I can’t do this anymore!”
- “Don’t you dare just walk away right now!”
- “This wouldn’t even be a problem, if you wouldn’t make one out of it.”
- “How does that make it okay?”
- “Do you even listen to yourself?”
- “I’m glad I finally get to see who you really are.”
- “Stop! Just stop it!”
- “Please, don’t make this worse than it already is.”
